MotorDesk, the dealer management system built for independent motor dealers, has launched a new set of product updates in March 2026, further strengthening its platform with features designed to improve control, efficiency and compliance across dealership operations.

The latest release introduces enhancements across vehicle importing, invoice permissions and Irish VAT invoice handling, helping dealers and their teams work more accurately while maintaining the flexibility needed for day-to-day processes.

Key updates in the March 2026 release include:

  • Vehicle Import Purchase Invoices
MotorDesk has updated the Vehicle Import tool to include a new Create Purchase Invoice feature.
  • Invoice Edit Issued Permission
A new Edit Issued user role and permission has been added, allowing dealers to restrict invoice editing once an invoice or purchase invoice has been issued.
  • Ireland Hide Invoice VAT
A new Hide VAT option has been introduced when creating and editing invoices for businesses based in Ireland.
  • Contact Company Names
The Contacts section has been updated to allow contacts to use a company name instead of a contact name, meaning the contact name field is no longer required where a company name is used instead.
  • Vehicle Import Changes
The Import Vehicles tool has been updated to improve error handling to help dealers manage import issues more efficiently.
  • Review Summary Website Module
A new Review Summary website module has been added, enabling dealers to display simple average review rating content on their website.
  • Invoice, Purchase Invoice & Order Assign Users
A new Assign Users feature has been added enabling dealerships to track which users or staff are responsible for each document.
  • Email Forwarding
Email forwarding has been added, enabling dealers to forward emails from their MotorDesk business accounts for improved communication management.

These updates form part of MotorDesk's continued investment in practical tools that respond to the operational needs of modern dealerships, while supporting stronger processes, better oversight and region-specific compliance requirements.

"March's release is focused on giving dealers even more control across key areas of invoicing and vehicle administration," said a Spokesperson at MotorDesk. "These updates are designed to help dealerships tailor the system more closely to how they operate."
